Katrina is supported by Storm, a rescue Malamute/Husky cross. Storm specialises in camper van trips, mountain expeditions and is partial to fig rolls.

Katrina and Helen would also like to acknowledge their previous canine research assistants who sadly are no longer with us. Katrina’s previous pack members (right to left) Sadie (collie/lab cross), Freddie (border terrier) and (Queen) Lola (ridgeback/staffy).

Helen’s faithful shadow and climbing partner for thirteen years was Tilly (another Welsh collie).

Our research programme challenges problematic categorical understandings of difference in the context of work. We are interested in exploring the multifaceted ways in which identities are understood, assumed and constructed. Research has yet to take account of how diverse identities are not simply categorical but complex and intersectional, as individuals self-identify beyond, between or across identity binaries. Our programme of research projects seeks to address and progress current conversations of diversity at work.
